Affiliate of the National Council on Problem Gambling

The mission of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) is to increase public awareness of pathological gambling, ensure the widespread availability of treatment for problem gamblers and their families, and to encourage research and programs for prevention and education.

Affiliate Councils are the foundation of the National Council.  State Affiliates are essential partners in NCPG’s collective commitment to increase awareness among the general public, professional groups and legislative forums that problem gambling is a treatable illness, to encourage research that serves to reduce the occurrence of problem gambling among youth and adults, and to assist individuals who have gambling-related problems and their families.  The goal of the National Council on Problem Gambling is to have one—and only one—Affiliate chapter in each state, believing that such a grassroots network provides the best combination of local energy and expertise with national coordination and advocacy.

The National Council on Problem Gambling has affiliates in 36 states, including the California Council on Problem Gambling. You can view all of the affiliates here.1
