Robert’s unique perspective on problem and responsible gambling is derived from both his personal and professional experiences.
Robert grew up in Las Vegas, where his family worked in the gaming industry for over 30 years. In 1995 he followed suit, taking his first casino job at a small casino on the North end of the strip. In 1998 he moved to California, where he continued to work in gaming until 2010, during which time he also earned two degrees in business. His casino experience includes Table Games, Poker, F&B, Marketing, and Human Resources.
Robert joined the CCPG team in 2011, and became its Executive Director in June of that year. He has served on the California Office of Problem Gambling Advisory board since 2011, the Gaming Policy Advisory Committee (advising the California Gambling Control Commission) since 2014, and was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Council on Problem Gambling in 2015.
